What is the coverage and internet speed like at my home?

You can look up the 5G network coverage at your place of residence on this map.
Important information: The map shows outdoor coverage. Building structure, wall thickness, and insulation may reduce network performance in some buildings. If you are unsure whether you have good reception in your building, ideally you would conduct a test at home with a yallo or Sunrise SIM card and a mobile phone before placing your order.
The advantage of the yallo Home Box is that you can place the modem anywhere in your home, which means you can put it where reception is optimal for all rooms.

Since mobile Internet involves "shared access," the actual speed of the mobile Internet for home use depends on a few factors. The number of devices using the same mobile radio cell plays an important role. A radio cell has only a certain level of capacity. To ensure that the capacity is distributed as fairly as possible, it is distributed among the connected devices. This means that very high load on the radio cell can lead to reduced Internet speed.

Do I need a technician for the installation?

No, the Box does not require a technician or a cable connection in the residence or building. Just insert the SIM card into the Box, switch the Box on, enter the WLAN password once, and start surfing. The Home Box is installed and ready for use in 2–3 minutes. More information.
Important: Please insert the SIM card before switching on the Box.

How does the yallo Home Box work while on the go?

Black yallo Home Box: Thanks to the built-in batteries, you can simply take the yallo Home Box with you. The battery life is approximately two hours. The yallo Home Box reduces the Internet surfing speed in battery mode to 21 Mbps to prevent overheating of the battery. This is a safety feature and cannot be deactivated.
White yallo Home Box: The white box has no battery mode and can, therefore, not be taken along.

Question 5

My yallo Home Box is not working. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

First press the reset button which is located next to the SIM card insertion slot. This will reset the yallo Home Box to the factory settings and you can then reconfigure your yallo Home Box (more information).
If you have already tried this and it didn't help, please send the defective Box together with the completed return form including a copy of your purchase receipt or warranty certificate, back to us.

Do I have to activate the SIM card for the Box?

No, the SIM card simply has to be pressed out of the plastic carrier and inserted into the Box. When doing so, please note the size of the SIM card to be inserted (Nano SIM).

Can I stream movies or watch TV with the yallo Home Box?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can download an entire 800 MB movie in under 30 seconds, for example. That way, you are guaranteed to be able to watch movies from Netflix and other content providers without interruptions.
The yallo Home Box also works great with Apple TV or standard smart TVs. Up to four devices can be used simultaneously with good quality (e.g. TV + 3 iPads).
