Preconditions
VoLTE enabled smartpone. You can find the up to date list of devices supporting VoLTE below
Up to date operating system – please update your smartphone software if needed (iPhone: Gettings > General > Software update; Android: Settings > Device Info > Software update)
LTE reception – already more than 90% of the population is living in LTE covered areas
On supported Android Smartphones, VoLTE will be activated automatically.

VoLTE is available on all iPhone models starting from the iPhone 6 series.
VoLTE is available on all Samsung models starting from the Samsung Galaxy S6 series.
Get help with VoLTE call issues
If calls drop frequently or call quality is poor when using VoLTE, try turning off VoLTE. To turn off VoLTE, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE and tap Data Only
General information
Mobile devices may be sold via a variety of channels. As a result, we can’t be absolutely certain whether or not you can continue to surf the Internet and make mobile calls with your old device. Once the 3G network has been deactivated, you’ll only be able to make calls if you can activate VoLTE in the settings of your old device. This setting is generally found under «Settings» > «Connections» > «Mobile Networks».

If in doubt, we recommend that you do switch to a new 4G/5G-capable device so you can enjoy a seamless transition in your mobile communications and carry on surfing the Internet and making mobile calls as usual.
